Park Square strengthens team with partner promotions and new hires.

London, 23 May 2017: Park Square Capital (“Park Square”), one of Europe’s leading independent credit providers, is pleased to announce the promotion of Howard Sharp, Piers Dennison and Andrew Haywood to Partner, and the hiring of two new Vice Presidents in the investment team.

Howard joined Park Square in 2016 as Head of Mid-Market Direct Lending, having previously worked at GE Capital and RBS. At Park Square he has been responsible for developing the mid-market direct lending team and strategy, which sits alongside the firm’s existing senior and subordinated debt activities to deliver a full range of products to borrowers.

Piers has been Head of Investor Relations at Park Square since 2013, having previously worked at the Boston Consulting Group and Candover Partners. Since joining Park Square he has been responsible for building the fundraising team and processes, helping manage significant growth in the firm’s assets and building deeper relationships with global investors.

Andrew has been Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer at Park Square since 2015, having previously worked at 3i Group plc. Since joining Park Square he has been responsible for developing the finance team, introducing systems and processes to manage the increased scale of the firm’s activities and the resulting regulatory requirements.

In addition to these promotions, Park Square has hired Axel Wehtje and Sven Bozuwa as Vice Presidents in the direct lending team.

Axel joins Park Square from Goldman Sachs, where he was an Executive Director in the leveraged finance team. At Goldman Sachs, Axel focused on the origination and execution of bond and loan financing transactions for corporate clients and financial sponsors.

Sven joins Park Square from Permira Debt Managers, where he was an Investment Director with responsibility for the credit analysis, structuring and execution of senior and subordinated debt investments for mid-market companies across Europe. Prior to this, Sven was an Associate within the leveraged finance division of Citigroup.
