Matthew Maguire, Finance Director and Head of ESG at Park Square Capital, recently contributed to KPMG’s 2022 Private Debt Fund Survey.

Matthew gave his views on the current implementation of ESG and SFDR on the market and challenges faced by private credit firms in implementing ESG-related KPIs. Matthew notes:

“Greater consideration of ESG factors and associated transparency by both companies and investors is a positive given that what is bad for business from an ESG perspective is also likely to be bad for business from a credit investment perspective.”
